COVID-19, death toll continues to rise as over 80 deaths reported

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the second wave of Corona virus continues in Pakistan. There has been a steady increase in deaths and patients from Corona.

According to the NCOC, 84 more people lost their lives in Pakistan and the death toll has risen to 9,164. 2,972 new cases were reported in the country and the total number has reached 451,494. In Pakistan, 399,852 Corona patients have recovered and 42,478 are undergoing treatment.

The highest number of deaths occurred in Punjab, due to Corona, where 3,522 people lost their lives, while in Sindh 3,270, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,511, Islamabad 385, Gilgit-Baltistan 99, Balochistan 177 and 200 people have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 35,700, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 52,041, Sindh 211,080, Punjab 130,122, Balochistan 17,868, Azad Kashmir 7,893 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,810 people have been affected by corona.

The rate of positive cases across the country has reached 7.59%. In Hyderabad, the rate of corona positive cases is highest at 24.59%. In Karachi, corona positive cases rate is 17.71%, Rawalpindi 17.21%, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 9.30%, Balochistan 7.59%, Gilgit-Baltistan 1.63% and Islamabad 3.6%.

Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant for Health, said that the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions we can deal with the second wave of corona.
