1088 farmers committed suicide in eight districts of Maharashtra State last year
In India, as many as one thousand eighty-eight farmers committed suicide in eight districts of Maharashtra State last year.
A report by the divisional commissioner’s office of Marathwada region revealed that the figure has gone up by sixty-five as compared to suicides of formers one thousand and twenty three in 2022.
According to the report, an average of 30 farmers have committed suicide every day in India since the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014.
