Islamabad, 11th May: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is making all efforts to repatriate the Pakistanis from abroad.
PIA’s first special flight from the United States (US) has safely reached Islamabad. According to reports of Baaghi TV, 179 passengers reached Islamabad from Washington DC via PK 8722.
The passengers appreciated the services of PIA on returning home.
PIA’s first relief flight from the United States has left
As per sources, PK 8722 left Washington DC at 4:11 a.m. (PST) to repatriate Pakistanis stranded in the US.
CEO PIA Arshad Malik said that PIA will continue its relief operation until the last Pakistani stranded abroad returns home. More relief flights from the United States will arrive in Pakistan in the next few days, he added.
According to PIA spokesman, another flight will leave Washington for Karachi on May 13.

On April 30, the national carrier was granted a special permission to operate direct flights to/from US to evacuate stranded citizens on both directions.
