CCPO listens to problems of local political leaders and representatives 

Lahore: A delegation of office bearers and local political representatives including presidents and general secretaries of different towns and zones of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf called on CCPO Lahore Additional IG Fiaz Ahmad Devhas at Capital City Police Headquarters today.

SSP Administration Mubashir Maken, SSP Legal Sheikh Asif and other senior officers were also present. The delegation led by Ghulam Muhiyudin Dewan included Vice President Tahir Rashid, General Secretary Mehr Wajid Azeem, Akbar Khan, Javed Ikram, Nawaz Natt, Asif Bhindar, Rana Arif and other senior leaders. The delegation members discussed the overall law and order situation and other bilateral issues with CCPO Lahore. Commander Lahore Police apprised the delegation regarding his priorities to ensure law and order in the city and improve the service delivery to the citizens with smart community policing using result oriented operational strategies. Fiaz Ahmad Dev listened to the problems of local political leaders and representatives and assured them at the earliest to resolve them using all available resources. The delegation members expressed their satisfaction over the on going crackdown of Lahore police against land grabbers and law breaker involved in organized crimes including drug dealers, gamblers and brothel houses. They also assured the CCPO Lahore to extend their full support and cooperation in eradication of crimes and anti social elements in the city. Fiaz Ahmad Dev said that the Lahore Police have taken special measures to bring to book the land-grabbers, goons and extortionists, and eliminate Kalashnikov culture from society. The CCPO Lahore directed the concerned police officers including divisional SsP to hold meetings with the local political leaders and representatives of their respective areas on regular basis strengthening mutual liaison and working relationship for redress of grievances of society. He further said, safety and security of the citizens and curbing of criminals are his top priorities. He apprised the delegation that Lahore police have been taking concrete steps to strengthen operational and Investigation units including CIA and Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff (AVLS). “Polite behavior with complainants of police personnel, redress of grievances of general public and improvement in the overall atmosphere and working of police stations is my mission,”
Fiaz Ahmad Dev pledged.
