Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that Punjab Police has provided foolproof security for Eid prayers gatherings across the province.

He said that the police personnel have spent the day of Eid in the field for the protection of life and property of the citizens by putting their own and their family’s happiness behind them so that the citizens can enjoy the moments and joys of Eid in a peaceful atmosphere. He said that all the supervisory officers of the province, appointed in the offices and field staff deserved commendation for the best performance of their duties. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that living nations never forget the sacrifices of their martyrs. Officers of Punjab police went to homes of martyrs and gave them a message that they are not alone at any stage in any moment of happiness or sorrow. IG Punjab said that the sacrifices of Lahore police in protection of life and property of citizens, uprooting criminals and maintaining atmosphere of law and order need no introduction and on the day of Eid Lahore and Punjab police martyrs and Ghazis, I pay tribute to their excellent service. He expressed these views while talking to the officers and Officials of District Police Lines, Qila Gujar Singh after offering Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. After the Eid prayers, special prayers were offered for the development, security and prosperity of the country.

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan paid homage to the martyrs at Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh, laid flowers and paid homage to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs and also offered Fateha for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. Eid gifts have been sent by the department to the families of all the martyrs and their needs will be taken care of on priority basis in future also. IG Punjab wrote down his impressions in the memoir book and also had dinner with his Sipah after Eid prayers. He also distributed Eid among the employees of police lines. Additional IG Farooq Mazhar, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana, DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan, DIG Investigation Shahzada Sultan, CTO Muntazer Mehdi, retired senior police officers SSPs, SPs, SDPOs and other officers and personnel were present.
