4.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Islamabad


A 4.5 magnitude earthquake jolted capital Islamabad and its surrounding areas Wednesday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 130 km beneath the Koh-e-Hindukush mountains.


Earlier, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake also occurred on June 23rd with an epicenter the earthquake was 58 km from Kalafgan (Afghanistan) and on June 2nd, an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 was reported near Islamabad, with an epicenter of the earthquake 198 km northwest of Islamabad.
