Around 40 million households have been counted and geo-tagged and 92 per cent of the 7th housing and population census work has already been successfully completed with 95 per cent in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 95 per cent in Punjab, 92 per cent in Sindh, and six per cent in Balochistan.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) officials revealed that the provincial and district governments have the critical responsibility to conduct the census field operation to ensure 100 per cent quality and credible coverage, making sure no one is left behind.

The PBS has provided the design, and strategic approach, and equipped the provincial and district governments with the technology and tools for complete transparency and real-time progress monitoring of census activities, along with daily oversight and feedback to further improve the data collection exercise in real-time, reported by Tahir Amin in Business Recorder.
