Beijing: China is all set to launch the fastest fifth-generation (5G) internet service earlier than expected, giving the country an upper hand in the race with the United States (US).
According to a report, three Chinese state-owned telecommunication companies, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecommunications Corporation inaugurated the 5G network, on Friday in major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou.
According to the report, China had decided to introduce the 5G network next year, but considering South Korea, the US and the United Kingdom (UK), it was immediately introduced.

The ultra-fast mobile internet service is said to be 100 times faster than existing 4G networks. It allows users to download feature films within seconds, or use apps with virtual reality.
It is to be remembered that China’s 5G technology was introduced at a time when the US banned the mobile company Huawei and blacklisted it.
