Singapore (7th Nov, 2019): German start-up, Volocopter, announces plans for a new version of flying taxi.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the flying taxi is the latest of it’s kind as it will be engaging in 5G technology, enabling it to observe around corners. It is reportedly cleaner, quieter and more sustainable than helicopters and can be summoned using a smartphone. The air taxi with 18 battery-powered rotors is expected to resemble a helicopter.

Moreover, 5G technology is taking the air taxi to next levels. The autonomous version will use 5G to request permission to land. As confirmed by reports, this most advanced multicopter is adding 5G capabilities to allow it to fly more safely.

Additionally, the vertical take-of electric drones could soon provide a sustainable way to move people and cargo around our cities. Reportedly, the VoloCity is designed as an urban flying taxi and will carry two people over a range of 35km at 110kph between specially built Voloports.

Be clear that, the volocopter autonomous air taxi has already been demonstrated in Dubai and successfully completed manned test flights in Singapore.
