Islamabad, Oct. 08 (Online): Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said Bundal Island project off the coast of Karachi will attract fifty billion US dollars’ investment which will benefit country’s overall economy.

Addressing a news conference along with Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad on Thursday, he said federal government will take all the stakeholders on board prior to initiate this eco-friendly project.

The Governor Sindh said a working group will be established consisting of representation of provincial and federal governments and other relevant departments.

He said Bundle Island will increase revenue of Sindh government and it will also become a tourists’ destination in the country. He said this project will also generate job opportunities approximately one hundred and fifty thousand.

Imran Ismail said he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and to address reservations of Sindh government. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said that the area of Bundle Island is under jurisdiction of Port Qasim Authority.
