PDM Karachi Jalsa, how many people were present?

Karachi: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties, held a public meeting (Jalsa) at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi yesterday.

According to the details, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and other opposition parties claimed that the Jalsa was historic, while the government claimed that 11 parties together failed to fill Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Sources have now revealed a report regarding the number of people present in the public gathering held by the PDM. According to the report, the security agencies said that the number of people in the Karachi rally was around 60,000, while independent sources have claimed that the number was between 60,000 and 70,000.

On the other hand, the government claims that the rally was a failure, with 40,000 people attending the rally, while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) alone has held rallies of millions on the same ground in the past.

The PPP claims that the rally was very successful and historic, with 150,000 people in attendance.

In this regard, senior journalist and analyst Arif Nizami while talking on a private TV channel said that PDM’s Karachi meeting was better than Gujranwala meeting. In terms of numbers, the Karachi rally was bigger than the one held in Gujranwala.
