Islamabad, Oct. 21 (Online): Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal (PBM) is facing financial crunch and is unable to provide any kind of monetary assistance or medical aid to any needy and poor people.
The inner sources have revealed that owing to the incompetency of ministry of finance number of deserving patients of cancer and heart are facing problems owing to unavailability of funds for medical treatment. Sources revealed that finance ministry isn’t issuing funds to PBM despite passing of month of October.
Sources stated that at present the financial position of PBM is zero and has no funds even for providing medical assistance to the people for their treatment. Thousands of applications are submitted to the PBM by the people seeking medical help in the form of funding for treatment purposes.
PBM administration has viewed that it isn’t receiving funds from finance ministry and when contacted to secretary finance ministry he refused to give any answer. PBM administration has stated that department funds due in August but now October is passing but ministry hasn’t funds to department.
While talking to Online the number of deserving people have appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, advisor to ministry of finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh to take notice of this alarming satiation and issue funds without any further delay.
