Mahim Aftab, Pakistan's Taekwondo star, passes away

Pakistan’s first International Taekwondo Player Olympian Mahim Aftab, 26, passes away on October 24, 2020 (yesterday) in Islamabad.

According to the details, Mahim Aftab who represented Pakistan in the World Olympic Games passed away while fighting against cancer. Aftab, a resident of Vehari district of Punjab, represented Pakistan in many other countries, including Germany, Iran and India.

For the past 4 months, Mahim Aftab had been undergoing treatment in various hospitals for brain tumors. Representing the Pakistan Army, she also won several medals at the national and district levels.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan have expressed deep sorrow over her demise.
