Taylor Swift Set to Re-record Earlier Albums
New York (23rd Aug, 2019): American singer, song-writer, Taylor Swift is reportedly interested in re-recording her earlier albums as a means of regaining control in a rights dispute over her music.
According to reports, Taylor Swift’s battle of rights over her music, with music industry mogul, Scooter Braun, has latest development. Scooter Braun recently gained ownership of Big Machine Label Group through Ithaca Holdings for an approximate $300 million deal, has consequently become majority owner of Taylor Swifts’ master recordings.
It has been reported that when the news broke earlier in June, Swift reacted by claiming that she has been “stripped” of her “life’s work”. However, now reports are surfacing that the singer wishes to re-record her previous albums so she may regain control.
Moreover, singer Kelly Clarkson who rose to fame as winner of reality series, American Idol, has reportedly suggested in a tweet that Swift should come up with “brand new art & some kind of incentive” so that her fans buy the latest version as compared to the older recordings.
