Washington, 22nd December: The Saudi Crown Prince has asked Donald Trump for his judicial protection.
According to reports, Saudi Arabia has requested the United States to provide judicial protection for Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
The Washington Post has revealed that the US government is weighing a request to declare Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman immune from a federal lawsuit accusing him of targeting for the assassination of a former top intelligence officer who could disclose damaging secrets about the prince’s ascent to power, according to legal documents related to the case.
President Trump’s administration has reportedly received a request from the Saudi government to provide judicial protection to Muhammad bin Salman in a case linked to the assassination of a former Saudi intelligence officer.
The Washington Post reports, citing documents related to the case, that Saudi Arabia has asked the Trump administration to include Saad al-Jabri in the case against Muhammad bin Salman, stating that Bin Salman should be given legal protection.
Meanwhile, regarding the case, Muhammad bin Salman’s lawyer has assured that the Saudi Crown Prince has all kinds of legal protection in the United States and he cannot be tried in any American court.
It should be noted that the Saudi Crown Prince has been accused of killing his opponents or attempting to assassinate his opponents, including the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
