The Iranian government has submitted a “red notice” to Interpol. According to reports, Iran called for the arrest of US President Donald Trump and 47 other US officials for the assassination of General Qasim Soleimani.

General Qasim Soleimani, was the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, who was assassinated on January 3rd, 2020 in a US drone attack. According to reports, Iran has now called for the International agency Interpol to step in and arrest President Donald Trump and 47 US officials involved in the assassination.

A spokesman for the Iranian judiciary, Ghulam Hussain Ismaili, said in a statement that “the Islamic Republic of Iran is very serious about ordering and prosecuting and punishing those who commit this crime.”

Earlier, Interpol had not approved the request, filed by Tehran’s prosecutor Ali al-Qasim Mehr. In it, he had called for the issuance of an international warrant for the arrest of President Trump and other Pentagon and US Central Command officials on “murder and terrorism charges.”
