Islamabad, 15th January: The actual reason behind the confiscation of a PIA plane at the Kuala Lumpur Airport has been revealed.

Baaghi TV: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Shahbaz Gill has issued an explanatory statement on the seizure of a PIA plane in Malaysia, according to reports.

Taking to his Twitter account, Shahbaz Gill said that the PIA Boeing 777, which was detained in Malaysia, was leased 12 years ago.

The plane has not been used in recent months because of the coronavirus pandemic. Just like all other flights around the world, PIA was also negotiating its rate. The case of which is being heard in a British court.

In a series of revelation, Gill wrote that the whole issue has nothing to do with Malaysia. Neither the leasing company was from Malaysia nor was there any case going on there. Dr Gill said that the plane was stopped there suddenly after taking a stay order. If the IA did not want to save the country’s money and spent all the money, the critics would be happy as it was in the previous years.

SAPM added that critics should understand that if your national institution is trying to save money and is fighting a case in the UK and the leasing company takes a stay order in Malaysia, then we should act as Pakistanis. PIA management should be supported, not criticized, because they are trying to save money.

It is to be noted that some time ago, a PIA Boeing 777 aircraft was seized by the local authorities at Kuala Lumpur Airport. PIA flight PK 895 reached Kuala Lumpur from Karachi today. After which the PIA plane was taken into custody in Malaysia on court orders. The PIA plane was seized in Malaysia for non-payment of lease dues.

As per reports, PIA leased the Boeing 777 from a Vietnamese company in 2015. Passengers will be properly cared for until the issue is resolved.
