Saudi Arabia imposes a travel ban on several countries including Pakistan

Lahore, 3rd February: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed a temporary ban on entry from several countries.

Baaghi TV: Saudi Arabia has imposed a temporary ban on entry from 21 countries including Pakistan.

However, according to news, Saudi citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families are exempted from the travel restrictions.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued a written order to the airlines in Saudi Arabia which notified the temporary suspension of entry from 21 countries.

The countries include Pakistan, Argentina, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany, United States of America (USA), Indonesia, Iceland, Italy, Brazil, Portugal, United Kingdom (UK), Turkey, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India and Japan.

As per reports from ARY News, the temporary ban will come into effect from 3rd of February 2021, 9:00 pm local time.

The notification stated that the travel ban will also be applied to those passengers who have passed through the abovementioned countries during 14 days preceding the request to enter Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families who have been exempted from the travel restrictions, however, will be quarantined in their homes for a period of 14 days in Saudi Arabia after visiting the abovementioned countries.

The notification from the GACA also stated that a negative PCR test report should be provided before travelling to Saudi Arabia.
