In order to keep in touch with the people, the President has convened a meeting of the Public Liaison Council.
A joint meeting of President Police and Public Liaison Council and local elders was held at the President’s Police Station on the special instructions of District Police Officer Hangu (PSP) Ikramullah Khan, chaired by DSP Headquarters Hafiz Muhammad Nazir Khan.
At the invitation of the police, members of Public Liaison Council, Togh Sarai, Khattak Banda, Anarchina, Mohammad Khawaja and leaders of Katgar attended the meeting. Due to the pro-people policy, where public confidence in the police has increased, the discouragement of criminal elements has also been effective.
At the meeting, the members and leaders of the Public Liaison Council appreciated the recent actions of the President Police against criminal elements and said that due to the pro-people policy of District Police Officer Ikramullah Khan, public confidence in the police has increased and discouragement of criminal elements has also been effective. The Liaison Council will co-operate fully with the police in maintaining law and order in the area and identifying criminal elements.
In the meeting, the leaders of Togh Sarai, Anarchina, Katgar, Khattak Banda and Mohammad Khawaja told the NSP that by the grace of Allah and as a result of recent police operations, the land has been narrowed for drug dealers and criminal advertisers. Selling is not allowed. If anyone is involved, they will hand themselves over to the police.
Assuring full cooperation of the participants of the meeting, the DSP thanked the Public Liaison Council, Area Elders and Leaders and said that the purpose of setting up the Public Liaison Council was to resolve disputes between the people in an amicable manner and in this regard has a huge responsibility placed on it.
In order to eradicate drug dealers, aerial firing, vandalism and other social crimes, the members of the Public Liaison Council and the leaders of the area will have to cooperate with the police. He expressed his determination to cooperate with the government in every possible way.
