February 16, 2021: In early February this year, four out of a group of five friends riding a Mehran lost their lives after a speeding vehicle in the convoy of Federal Ombudsman for Harassment Kashmala Tariq collided with the Mehran vehicle while it was taking a turn on Srinagar Highway in Islamabad.

BaaghiTV: The five youths killed and injured in a traffic accident in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad were close friends and residents of the same area in Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The deceased Farooq and the injured Mujeeb-ur-Rehman were working as security guards at King Abdullah Hospital Mansehra, while Mohammad Anis, Mohammad Adil and Haider Ali alias Soni were close friends and students who came from Mansehra for a job interview in Islamabad.

It appears an official settlement has now been reached by the heirs of Farooq, a young man killed in the crash, a copy of which has been obtained by BaaghiTV.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

The agreement was made by Farooq’s parents, according to which the case was submitted in the presence of Judge Muhammad Sohail Fazil, Additional Sessions Judge, District West, Islamabad.

Farooq’s father Haqeeqi Sajid Mehmood and mother Haqeeqi Yasmeen Bibi filed a memorandum of understanding in which they said that on February 2, 2021, according to particulars of Case No. 83, the following penalties apply 379,322,337G, 427. The statement made at Police Station Islamabad said an accident case has been registered in the complaint of Mujeeb-ur-Rehman in which my son Farooq Ahmed and three others Anis Shakeel, Malik Adil and Haider Ali died.

The statement further said that the they indeed parents of the deceased Farooq Ahmed, the real heirs, according to NADRA FRC form, the deceased son was unmarried, so he has no other legal heirs other than his parents. And that the alleged accident vehicle number WX-077 ICT Lexus with which the vehicle number APU-637 accidentally collided and the above mentioned deceased died, according to our confirmation, the accused Azlan Khan was not driving but the driver Faizullah was driving.

Also that, they, the two heirs, do not want to take any legal action against the accused Azlan Khan or the driver of the car Faizullah Khan now or in the future. There is no objection to the police dismissing the case or later acquitting the accused from the trial court in the case. We have submitted our intent to forgive and adopt this stance in this court which is binding on us in every forum and every court.
