February 16, 2021: An emergency meeting was chaired by Chairman LWMC on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab.
The meeting was attended by the heads of all departments of the organization, including the CEO and Deputy CEO LWMC. Spokesperson LWMC said, “A report was taken in the meeting regarding the ongoing sanitation arrangements in the city. The Chairman LWMC directs to further improve sanitation arrangements in the city and also to ensure uniform standards of cleanliness throughout the city.”
The chairman LWMC Malik Amjad Ali Noon, said, “Providing the best sanitation facilities to the people of Lahore is the top priority of the organization. A clean-up operation is underway in the city using all available resources. All departments are performing their duties well. The best sanitation arrangements have been ensured in the city by overcoming all the sanitation problems. More than 3,000 workers will be hired to clean up the city.” The CEO WMC said, ” More than 6,000 containers will be placed in the city. Citizens’ grievances will be addressed on a priority basis.”
