Action taken against officers involved in the escape of Ehsanullah Ehsan: DG ISPR

Islamabad, 24th February: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that action has been taken against the army officers who were involved in the escape of Ehsanullah Ehsan.

Baaghi TV: According to reports from BBC Urdu, DG ISPR has said that the action was taken against officers responsible for the escape of former Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan from military custody last year.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, General Iftikhar said that Ehsan’s escape was a very serious matter that had been investigated thoroughly and those found responsible had already been punished.

He also said, “Efforts are underway to arrest Ehsanullah Ehsan again.” However, they are not yet aware of his current whereabouts.
