Lahore, 26th February: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will file two petitions against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after NA-75 by-polls.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, PTI will file two petitions to challenge the ECP’s decision against NA-75 by-polls in Daska after approval from Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday.

The decision was made after Firdous Ashiq Awan, the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information, Advocate Ali Zafar and NA-75 candidate Ali Asjad Malhi called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to reports from ARY News, the premier was briefed on the by-polls while Ali Zafar suggested to him to adopt legal options the party had against the ECP decision. It was decided to challenge the decision of the ECP in light of the suggestion given by Barrister Ali Zafar.

PM Khan approved filing two petitions in the Lahore High Court (LHC) by PTI. According to reports, one of the pleas would challenge the decision by the election body against re-poll in the constituency while the second one would challenge actions recommended against the officers.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Thursday ECP ordered re-polling at all polling stations of NA-75 Sialkot-Daska over rigging.

As per earlier reports by Baaghi TV, ECP termed the polling in the NA-75 Daska null and void and ordered re-polling in the constituency on March 18.

The ECP has also ordered to suspend the concerned Deputy Commissioner, District Police Officer (DPO), Assistant Commissioner and SPDO Daska over rigging during the by-poll in the NA-75 constituency.
