Lahore, 12th March: The opposition has announced to challenge the Senate results.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, the alliance opposition PDM has announced to challenge the result of the crucial senate elections on Friday.
According to reports, PTI’s candidate Sadiq Sanjrani bagged 47 votes today and won the major seat of the Senate Chairman. Whereas, PDM candidate Yousaf Raza Gillani got 44 votes.
The recount process of votes is underway in the Senate. The presiding officer announced the victory of Sadiq Sanjrani over Yousuf Raza Gillani. After the results were announced, members of the government chanted slogans in favour of Sadiq Sanjrani and instead of the desk,
As per sources, Farooq H Naik has challenged the 7 votes which were rejected today. Farooq Naik said that it was not written anywhere to seal the box inside the ballot paper,
It is to be noted that the newly-elected Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani was born on April 14, 1978, in the Chaghi area of Balochistan.
His father, Muhammad Asif Sanjarani, is one of the foremost tribal chiefs of the Chaghi district. He received his early education in Nokandi, later moving to Islamabad for further studies and obtaining a master’s degree.
Sadiq Sanjarani was in charge of the grievance cell of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in 2008. He ran as an independent candidate in the Senate elections held on April 3, 2018, and became a Senator.
