Faisal Vavda’s lawyer, barrister Moiz Ahmed, appeared before the Election Commission Court. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazher asked the lawyer if Faisal Vavda had given up his double citizenship. The barrister Moiz Ahmed replied to the court that Faisal Vavda had left dual citizenship, the court said, “Submit affidavit, why not give certificates” Justice Muhammad Ali Mazher said that you do not want to satisfy the Election Commission itself, why do not want to tell when dual citizenship is left, the lawyer said the election commission seems to be in the frame of mind to declare Faisal Waavda disqualified.
The Election Commission said that we asked Faisal Waada a very simple question, Faisal Waada did not answer the election commission questions, the court asked the ECP representative how many times did you call Faisal Waavda? The Representative Election Commission said that several times, the last time he was sought, we also imposed a fine of 50,000.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar said, “Did the Islamabad High Court go to the Supreme Court against the verdict? The Islamabad High Court directed the Election Commission to conduct an inquiry, you go to the Supreme Court against the Islamabad high court’s decision, the court asked the Representative Election Commission what the Election Commission was doing, where were the lawyers from the complainants? Faisal Waavda’s lawyer Moiz Ahmed gave the Islamabad high court’s decision.
The Representative Election Commission while replying to the court said that the case is going on for a long time. The case in the Election Commission is delayed due to Faisal Waavda. Faisal Waavdva is not going to allow the case to proceed or respond. The court said that the election commission cannot stop proceedings at present. The court sought a comprehensive response from the Election Commission, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar said while remarking that let the ECP’s response come first.
