COVID testing for Mens National Cricket team is underway ahead of South Africa tour

22 March 2021 1:46pm: A new update has come out on the national cricket team’s coveted 19 testing.

A statement issued by the PCB said that a member of the national squad for the tour of South Africa (who tested positive for the Corona last week) has now had two negative tests. He will become part of the biosecure bubble, where the next two tests will be performed on March 24 after spending 24 hours in isolation.

A statement issued by the PCB said that if the results of the two tests were negative, he would leave for Johannesburg on March 26 along with other members of the national squad. On the other hand, the report of the remaining 34 members of the national squad for the Covid 19 Test has been negative. The fourth and final testing of all these members will now take place on March 24.

The national cricket team will leave for South Africa on March 26. The first ODI between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on April 2. A total of 32-member squad has been announced for the tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Hafeez have returned to the T20 squad while Fakhr Zaman has made it to the ODI squad. On the other hand, Babar Azam will be the captain of the T20 squad while Shadab Khan has been made the vice-captain. Other players include Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Haider Ali, Danish Aziz, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf Mohammad Hasnain and Hassan Ali, Arshad Iqbal and Usman Qadir has also been made part of the squad.
