PM Khan’s letter to Saudi Crown Prince, extends support for a new challenge
Lahore, 29th March: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has written a letter to the Saudi Royal family.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday wrote a letter to Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
According to reports, in the letter PM Khan expressed good wishes for Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
The Pakistani premier took to his Twitter account to share the letter where he praised the decision to plant 10 billion trees in Saudi Arabia and 50 billion in the region.

PM Khan tweeted, “Am delighted to learn of “Green Saudi Arabia” & “Green Middle East ” initiatives by my brother, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman! Have offered our support on these as there are many complementarities with our “Clean & Green Pakistan” & “10 Billion-Tree Tsunami.”
He mentioned that their project is similar to the Tree Tsunami program, where we planted one billion trees between 2014 and 2018 and plan to plant 10 billion trees by 2023.
The prime minister highlighted that the project will promote eco-tourism and create jobs.
PM Khan wrote that we are planning to shift 60% of energy to clean energy by 2030, increasing capacity to generate electricity from solar, wind and water.
He reiterated to support Saudi Arabia’s green project, and expressed desire to work with Saudi Arabia in future.
According to reports, the Saudi government has announced the largest tree planting campaign in the country’s history to keep the environment clean and free from pollution. The Kingdom has announced the launch of the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Project. The campaign aims to plant 10 million trees in different cities.
According to Arab media, the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture has announced the immediate planting of 4 million plants, the sowing of 7 million plant seeds and the relinquishment of 60,000 hectares of agricultural land.
