The association said in its statement that at the end of the academic year, they can not shut down schools for two weeks or more.

They urged that the schools should be kept open until a complete lockdown is imposed in the province.

The association further requested the government to adopt a smart lockdown policy rather than closing all the schools.

It said that already 20 million children did not return to schools after the closure of educational institutes due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Baaghi TV earlier reported that Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani had announced all schools will be closed till grade 8 across Sindh for two weeks.
