Prince William and Kate mark a decade of their marriage

Lahore, 29th April: Prince William and his wife Katherine Middleton mark ten years of their marriage on Thursday.
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, then 28 and 29 respectively, got married at Westminster Abbey, London, on April 29, 2011.
Today they mark the first decade of their blissful marriage as the well-loved couple can be seen taking the place of the future British Monarch, as senior royals age or recede over time.
Second-in-line to the throne William now 38 first met Kate Middleton, now 39 at the University of St Andrews in 2001. They started dating in 2003 for more than seven years and got engaged on October 20, 2010.
The wedding day of William and Kate was declared a public holiday back in April 2011.
After the wedding, royal duties for the couple started right away. Three weeks after their wedding in May 2011, Duke and Duchess met with US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the Buckingham Palace.
While touring around the world, the couple’s most memorable trip was to Pakistan in October 2019, when they visited the historical places in Lahore and enjoyed playing cricket with Pakistan’s women cricket team.
Duke and Duchess also marked their presence at the SOS village in Lahore and bonded well with the underprivileged children.
