Govt to form a committee to review ban on TLP

Lahore, 30th April: Pakistan government will form a three-member committee to review the ban placed on the proscribed organization Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
Interior Ministry announced on Friday to form a 3-member bench to review the case of lifting the ban on the outlaw agency TLP.
Sheikh Rasheed chaired a high-level meeting today and reviewed the appeal filed by TLP to lift the ban. He has decided to form a three-member committee comprising of two joint secretaries to do the task.
Baaghi TV reported yesterday that the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik appealed to the authorities on Thursday to consider lifting the ban.
It is to be noted that earlier this month the government imposed a ban on the TLP under the anti-terrorism law after violent protests were carried out by their workers across the country.
