Lahore, 20th May: Nawaz Sharif’s property in Sheikhupura has been auctioned. The identity of the person who bought his property has been revealed.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the auction process of Nawaz Sharif’s Sheikhupura property has been completed.
A person named Mohammad Boota bought Nawaz Sharif’s land in the highest bid at the rate of Rs 11 million per acre.
Talking to a private TV channel, Muhammad Boota said that the fugitive Nawaz Sharif has bought 8 acres and 4 marlas (88 kanals) in Sheikhupura at a cost of Rs 10 million and Rs 1 lakh per acre.
The auction process was transparent. Nawaz Sharif’s property was auctioned for Rs 11 crore.
A journalist asked Mr Boota that you have bought a disputed land, what if the courts have to go round? To this, he replied that he had bought the land from the Punjab government, not through any fraud.
It is to be noted that Accountability Court Judge Syed Asghar Ali had issued orders for confiscation of PML-N’s leader’s property.
NAB submitted a report on Nawaz Sharif’s assets in the accountability court on the court order.
Sharif’s assets include details of properties, vehicles and bank accounts. As per details, he owns more than 1650 kanals of agricultural land in Lahore, Mercedes, Land Cruiser, and 2 tractors are also owned by him.
Details of domestic and foreign accounts in the name of Nawaz Sharif in Lahore’s private bank have also been included.
