PM Imran Khan inaugurates Eagle Squad in the federal capital Islamabad to further strengthen the security of citizens.
Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the head office of Safe City Project Islamabad. Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and IG Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman received him in Islamabad.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed briefed the Prime Minister on the expansion of the Safe City project. He explained that this project assists in crime prevention, traffic monitoring and uninterrupted flow, crime detection and timely action, GIS mapping and geo-tagging.

The Safe City project will monitor the Eagle Squad through latest technology, as well as ensure their support, timely action and reduced response time.
The Eagle Squad, consisting of 100 motorcycles, will be manned by 500 young men patrolling the federal capital.
Equipped with latest equipment such as LTE sets and GIS systems, Eagle Squad will play a key role in crime prevention in line with international standards.
Senior Islamabad police officers and men were also present on the occasion.
