June 29, 2021: Lahore High Court issues major order to Punjab government pertaining to the rights of birds and animals.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Justice Ayesha A. Malik of the Lahore High Court heard the case related to the existence of stray dogs and pets. During the hearing, the progress report of the government policy for stray dogs and pets was presented in the court by the government. The fate of the birds and animals bought and sold in Tolintton Market was debated. The judge asked government authorities what if anything has been done for the animals being bought and sold in the market. She asked whether there water and air for the birds and animals.
