According to Baaghi TV reports, the Lahore High Court heard a petition against the ordinance issued by the Punjab government to demolish Walton Airport.
The court has ordered the resumption of the flying operation at Walton Airport. The court has ordered to resume flights for 8 weeks.
The law officer told the court in his statement that it took 8 to 22 weeks for the infrastructure report and relocation, after which the restoration order was issued by the High Court.
It is pertinent to mention that an order was issued by Pakistan Civil Aviation stating that they are not allowed to fly a plane at the airport.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has made a big decision to use Lahore’s old airport, known as Walton Airport, for commercial purposes and has announced that he is going to build the world’s largest trade center on the site.
