Outburst of Delta Variant: NCOC issues strict guidelines
Lahore, 9th July: Delta virus, considered extremely dangerous, originated from India has now emerged in Pakistan.
According to the latest reports, after India and the UK, the Delta variant of COVID-19 has now emerged in Pakistan which may trigger the fourth wave of the pandemic.
National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has developed a comprehensive strategy for Delta variant and others in Pakistan. NCOC is taking special measures to protect the people of Pakistan from the harmful effects of this virus.

The authorities have warned the public that dangerous consequences can occur if precautions are not taken to control the Delta variant of COVID-19.
It may be noted that the delta variant has not only caused millions of deaths in India but also left people suffering helplessly due to the lack of oxygen in hospitals.

Therefore, the government is emphasizing on implementation of relevant SOPs and speeding up vaccination in these initiatives. In this regard, strict implementation of existing SOPs will be ensured from 9th to 18th July.
In the event of an outbreak during Eid-ul-Adha, various proposals are under consideration to limit unnecessary movement, which will be decided in the next few days, taking into account the spread of coronavirus.
NCOC has warned that tourism is also likely to be banned in view of the growing cases in the country.
Fear of a fourth wave of Corona, Prime Minister’s appeal to the nation
NCOC has issued instructions to ensure that all private-sector employees, including the corporate sector, small and medium and large industry employees, agriculture, media, lawyers, private companies, factory workers, market workers, people working in the transport sector, hotel workers, gymnasium employees, mosque servants and imams, must all be vaccinated before July 31.
It is also to be noted that vaccination for students over 5 years of age is mandatory by August 3.
The authorities have issued orders that from August 1, travel without a vaccination certificate will be banned.
Orders have been issued to ensure a ban on travel and hotel booking without a vaccination certificate for persons aged 5 years and above visiting all tourist destinations in Pakistan.
Hence, from August 1, this ban will also apply to people between the ages of 5 and 6.
NCOC has issued the instructions to all concerned agencies in this regard.
