Pasni: Captain Affan Masood and soldier Babar Zaman were martyred when their vehicle collided with a landmine.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), a security forces vehicle collided with a landmine in the coastal town of Pasni in Balochistan. Captain Affan Masood and soldier Babar Zaman were martyred.
ISPR said that after the incident, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for terrorists. Such cowardly incidents could not dampen the spirits of the security forces.
The spokesman further said that hostile agencies and elements would not be allowed to sabotage the peace of Balochistan and security forces would thwart conspiracies against the country at all costs.
It may be recalled that two days ago, three terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire during an operation by the security forces in Zawa area of Kurram district, while 25-year-old Captain Basit and soldier Hazrat Bilal were martyred.
It may be recalled that last month, security forces killed two terrorists in an operation in North Waziristan while a soldier was martyred in an exchange of fire.
