India Sees Highest Daily Rise In Covid Cases In Nearly 2 Months

India’s daily Covid numbers jumped by over four per cent as the country reported 46,759 new cases on Saturday, the most in nearly two months, as cases surge in Kerala. 509 deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, according to the government.

India’s daily positivity rate remains less than 3 per cent for the last 28 days and is presently at 2.19 per cent. Active cases constitute 1.10% of total cases, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands 97.56 per cent, the Union Health Ministry said.
