SCO: Reality of Afghanistan must be recognized, PM Khan
Shanghai Cooperation Summit (SCO): The reality of Afghanistan must be acknowledged by the world, says Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the SCO in Tajikistan.
While addressing, PM Imran Khan thanked the President of Tajikistan for hosting the SCO Summit and said:
“It is an important platform for promoting trade, investment and connectivity. We have to deal with these issues together. Global warming, the negative effects of climate change on the region, we have started a tree planting campaign to promote a better environment. We have planted trees in the degraded part of the country where there was no greenery. Appreciated in different countries, the whole world economy has been affected by Corona, the region is facing many challenges, we have to work together.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that Pakistan played an important role in the war on terror, the reality of Afghanistan must be recognized by the world. We have always maintained the same position regarding Afghanistan; the Taliban’s interim government has come to Afghanistan. It cannot be left to its own devices, the international community must stand with Afghanistan.
Members of the Pakistani delegation were present in the meeting hall. Referring to the SCO Summit, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Prime Minister would address the situation in Central Asia and the region over the next 20 years. More active, the organization includes key countries in the region, including Pakistan, the organization is a key platform for promoting trade, investment, and connectivity, and the CASA 1000 and Rail Link projects could be useful for the region.

After the meeting, Prime Minister will travel to the Presidential Palace to meet with President Emomali Rakhmon of Tajikistan.
Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry says, “Today is a very important day, Prime Minister Imran Khan wants Tajikistan and Pakistan to play their part in bringing the different ethnic factions of Afghanistan closer together.”
National Security Adviser Moeed Yousaf said that Afghanistan should not be left alone to bring stability there, Pakistan will convince the world that cooperation with Afghanistan is necessary and the world should keep an eye on the changing situation in Afghanistan.
