Pakistan retaliated against India after the latter referred to occupied Kashmir as a “internal affair” and accused Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism.
The Indian delegation exercised its right to reply after Prime Minister Imran Khan finished his heated address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday, in which he chastised the world for its silence on Indian actions in occupied Kashmir. Sneha Dubey, India’s First Secretary, declared in her speech that Pakistan was not a “victim of terrorism,” but rather bred terrorists in its own backyard.
She added: “Occupied Kashmir and Ladakh, were, are, and will always be a vital and inalienable part of India.”
According to the report, she specifically stated that this includes areas that are “occupied” by Pakistan. In response, Saima Saleem, a Pakistani delegate, stated that occupied Kashmir was neither a “so-called integral part of India” nor a “internal problem of India.”
She added: “India continues to occupy an internationally recognized disputed territory, the final disposition of which must be determined in accordance with the democratic ideal of a free and impartial referendum under UN auspices, as called for in previous Security Council resolutions.”

She claimed India was making false accusations and using outright lies and obfuscation to draw attention away from human rights crimes in occupied Kashmir. She said, “India’s obsessive love for Pakistan is nothing new or surprising. It has infiltrated the ruling class and governmental systems of the country.”
She reiterated how the European Union (EU) Disinfo lab had explained how India has utilized diversion, deception, and disinformation against Pakistan, including at the UN. Saima Saleem also said that Indian human rights violations in occupied Kashmir were also documented in two reports by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights (UNHCR).
The Pakistani representative said that a witch hunt had been launched against those who “dared to denounce the crimes.” “Only last year Amnesty International stopped working in India, citing constant harassment from the government,” continued Saleem.
She added that the Pakistani government recently released a comprehensive dossier on the widespread and systemic human rights violations committed by the Indian security forces in the occupied valley. Saima continued:
“We urge the international community to take note of the overwhelming evidence and hold India accountable for the heinous crimes. If India has nothing to hide, it must accept a UN commission of inquiry and agree to implement Security Council resolutions, a referendum to allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir to exercise their right to self-determination.”

Regarding India’s accusations that Pakistan supported terrorism, she claimed: “Regarding India’s use of terrorism, it reproduces typical arguments of all the occupiers. Let me emphasize that India itself is the main culprit, sponsor, financier and helper of terrorism in the region.”
Following this, the delegate continued that India is currently involved in at least four different types of occupied terrorism in Kashmir. Firstly, it terrorizes the region and the residents. Second, financing and assistance to terrorist groups, such as the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), being involved in cross-border terrorist attacks against Pakistani military and civilian targets.
Third, India is funding and organizing mercenary terrorist organizations against Pakistan to hamper economic growth and prosperity in the region. Saima Saleem continued to shed light on the matter, adding that India’s national security adviser Ajit Doval has also publicly admitted this.
Fourth, India is guided by a prevailing ideology that incorporates Islamophobia and fanaticism against minorities, especially Muslims, in its political discourse. Saima claimed:
“In today’s incredibly intolerant India, the Muslim minority of 200 million has been the target of frequent lynching by ‘cattle guards’, pogroms by RSS thugs with official complicity, discriminatory citizenship laws for disenfranchisement Muslims and a Concerted Campaign to Destroy Mosques and the Heritage of Rich Muslims in India.”

The Pakistani representative concluded her speech by stating that the Indian delegation would do well to reflect on the troubling development of her state rather than “indulge in obvious falsehoods about Pakistan.”
“India should realize that he has not repressed Cashmeres that Kashmir has not suppressed life under his crew of his inconsistent right to self-efficiency,” she ended.
