UAE announces free Expo 2020 entry today on account of National Day

Dec 2, 2021: Expo 2020 Dubai has announced free admission for all residents and visitors on the occasion of UAE National Day, which falls on December 2.

Organizers have been issuing several special passes and offers since the start of the event this year. According to the Khaleej Times, “People can use their existing tickets or attend this day to get free admission, provided they follow the steps of COVID-19.”

It states that visitors 18 years of age or older are required to provide evidence of any vaccination or negative PCR test within the last 72 hours. A four-day slate of world-class celebrations and in-depth UAE experiences is ready for the UAE’s Golden Jubilee. Dubai Expo 2020 is the largest and most diverse exhibition in the region with the participation of 192 countries, multilateral organizations and businesses. The expo started on October 1 and will continue till March 31, 2022.

For the first time in history, each participating country has been allowed to set up its own pavilion at the expo, according to the official website of the Dubai Expo. The Pakistani pavilion became an instant hit under the theme “Pakistan’s Hidden Treasures”. It consists of eight important sites that showcase the country’s history, religious diversity, culture, landscape and wildlife. One of the pavilions is dedicated to how Pakistan is coping with climate change and displays information and art installations related to the government’s Billion Tree Tsunami Project.

According to a Khaleej Times report, on the first day of the expo, about 8,000 people crowded the Pakistani pavilion. Guests described the Pakistani pavilion as “extraordinary”, expressing amazement at the rich culture of the country and the beautiful things on offer.
