Jan 24, 2022: On the social networking site Twitter, a board member of the Mersin Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MESIAD) confirmed the tragic news of the 51-year-old actor’s death, writing: we have lost Pekcan.

He also prayed for the forgiveness of the actor. It is to be noted that the actor was suffering from cancer. He had complained of back pain in October, after which it was found out during the hospital treatment that the tumor had spread to the liver and adrenal glands. He was undergoing treatment for the cancer.

The actor was just 51 and his friends supported him well in his constant struggle but he could not make it unfortunately.

Pekcan will be sent off to his last journey in his hometown Mersin tomorrow.

Pekin had earlier said on social media that his biggest support is his family and close friends. I will do my best to restore my health. He asked the fans for prayers.

He wrote, “Dear friends… The process that started with the doctor I went to with a complaint of back pain has come to this point today. I have lung cancer. The tumor has also spread to the liver and adrenal glands. Unfortunately, this disease did not show any symptoms in its initial stages. The first day of chemotherapy… My biggest support is with my family. So are my friends nearby… I will do my best to regain my health. Keep your health wishes and prayers with you. Stay well…”

It should be noted that Turkish cinema and TV series actor Ayberk Pekcan was born on May 22, 1970 in Mersin. He spent his childhood and youth in Adana and Mersin. After completing his primary and secondary education at Mersin’s Adana and High School, he graduated from Mersin University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts, Department of Theater.

Later, he started acting in Istanbul. In 2010, the feature film Hedayet, in which he played the lead role, won awards at national and international film festivals. In the Ankara film festival Pekcan was awarded Supporting Actor award for his 2012 film called Ask ve Devrim.
