Lahore:.Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the Sifarish culture destroys institutions, present government is ensuring merit and transparency by purging the institutions of the culture of nepotism .
He said we must work to serve the humanity. Our youth is our asset. We are working to provide them maximum facilities under Kamyab Jawan Program . He stated this while addressing an event on International Day of Thinking under the aegis of Girl Guides. Provincial Commissioner, Sarwat Hameed, and students from different colleges attended the event. During the function Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar also cut cake and planted saplings along with the participants.
Addressing the function, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he is happy that Pakistan Girls Guides Association Punjab has become a prestigious organization which has been playing a vital role in empowering women as well as building their character, so that they can better serve the welfare of their home and country. He further said that just as boys are lagging behind girls in the field of education, Girl Guides have outshined Boy Scouts. Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah served as the patron of Girl Guides Association Pakistan. By making her personality a role model, women can make progress, he added. He said that
with the services of Girl Guides, Pakistan can become prosperous.
Governor Punjab said that human and environmental survival depends on mutual cooperation. Although climate change is affecting all of us,adding that we all have to play role in controlling the environmental pollution. He further said that we all have a responsibility to work together for the betterment of the environment and for the betterment of mankind, because mutual cooperation is the only way to achieve a goal. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he hoped that the Pakistan Girl Guide Association would continue its dedication and passion for empowering women and building their character. We will cooperate and the doors of Governor House are always open for you. Today we all pledge that together we will play our role in cleaning and improving our environment.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar while talking to media said that those who are given authority by Allah Almighty are very lucky and they have responsibility to protect national interest instead of personal interest. He concluded that we are working to make Pakistan the Pakistan as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, for which it is necessary that all sections of the society do their part with honesty and faith.
