India: Pro-Khalistan slogans were raised in Manali town of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
The slogans were raised by members of Sikh community at the Chandigarh-Manali highway at the entry point of Manali.
Hundreds of Sikh pilgrims, mostly riding motorcycles and from Punjab, visited a gurdwara in Manikaran town in Himachal Pradesh.
The Sikh pilgrims refused to pay tax at a barrier at the entry point of Manali and staged a protest, blocking the highway. They raised Pro-Khalistan slogans during the protest.
India’s Himachal Pradesh state has felt the presence of Khalistani before also. In May last year, pro-Khalistani graffiti was painted by the members of Sikh community on the walls of the Himachal Assembly complex at Dharamshala.
