
A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. In the meeting, issues were discussed according to the agenda.

In its declaration, the ECC said that Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan have been approved to set the target of wheat purchase. Sindh will buy 14 lakh metric tons of wheat at Rs.400 per maund. Punjab will buy 35 lakh tonnes of wheat at Rs 3,900 per maund and Balochistan will buy one lakh tonnes of wheat at Rs 3,900 per maund.

Moreover, during the meeting, the ECC approved a technical grant of Rs. 45 crores for the recruitment and other expenses of the Islamabad police.
