PTI senior leader Mahmood Moulvi has announced to leave his political party.
He also announced to resign from MNA seat.
Addressing a press conference, Mahmood Moulvi said he has left the party because of May 9 violent protests in which suhuda memorials were burnt and mob attacked on Army.
He said he never thought of going against Pakistan Army and he would never make statement against men in uniform.
Former PTI leader said he should not be considered among a part of mob who attacked Army buildings.
He criticized Imran Khan for dual statements and also urged government to solve public issues.
Advisor of Maritime Affairs Mahmood Moulvi was appointed as Senior Vice President of the executive committee of the Western Sindh region of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2020.
According to a notification by PTI chief organiser Saifullah Khan Nyazee, Mr Mahmood Moulvi was appointed to the position in consultation with PTI chairman Imran Khan in 2020.
Mr Mahmood Molvi is among the most prominent PTI leaders in Karachi.
He served as Advisor on Maritime Affairs.
