On the occasion of Youm-e-Takreem Shuhda Pakistan, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman visited the mausoleum of Major Shabir Sharif Shaheed (NH) to pay homage to the martyrs and their families. He laid a floral wreath and offered Fatiha at the grave of the martyr.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Secretary said that the living nations always remember their martyrs with honor and respect, and “today we renew the pledge to hold our martyrs and their families in high esteem”. He said that it is an honor for him to visit the mausoleum of the martyr who received Nishan Haider.

The Chief Secretary said that the entire nation is observing Youm-e-Takreem Shuhda Pakistan and paying homage to the martyrs and their families in recognition of their great sacrifices.
He mentioned that the soldiers of the Pakistan army, police, and law enforcement agencies sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of the motherland. “I want to tell the people who have gone astray that our existence, respect, and honor are all because of Pakistan,” he asserted.

He said that the country and nation are indebted to the precious blood of the martyrs and are proud of the great sacrifices they rendered for the country. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider was also present on this occasion.
