The NDMA quoting World View NASA and Zoom Earth Windy said that Biaparjoy Cyclone storm has entered into an extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm.
“The prominent models being monitored consistently indicate that BIPARJOY is expected to progress in a northeastward direction,” the NDMA said.
Karachi city coastal areas is on alert and Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah said efforts are being made to evacuate hundreds of thousands of people from the possible threat areas.
Karachi and Cyclone Biparjoy
The Seaview road has been completely closed for all kinds of traffic in the wake of possible threats from the cyclone.
Police official informed media persons that at least 15 checkpoints have been established at Seaview to avert any untoward incident in the wake of possible hit by the cyclone.
Moreover, Hyderabad commissioner also said that sea level will rise by four to five metres when storm hits.

Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah addressing a press conference on Mo day said that a cloudburst expected in Karachi and preparations for evacuations from areas at risk under way amid the Biparjoy cyclone.
