The price of 24-Karat gold in the domestic market per tola price decreased by a record Rs8000 to settle at Rs208,000 on Monday.

Previously, the per tola price of gold in Pakistan jumped to Rs216,000 on Wednesday despite a fall in the international rates.

The price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs1,800 per tola and Rs1,543 per 10 grams to settle at Rs216,000 and Rs185,185, respectively, according to the data released by All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

After the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, the price of the US dollar witnessed a huge drop on Monday as during the first business day, the price of the dollar recorded a further decrease of Rs5.
