Shahid Ashraf Tarar has taken oath as Chairman of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

President Dr. Arif Alvi administered him the oath at a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today.

Shahid Ashraf Tarar is a former Civil Servant (BS-22) from Pakistan Administrative Service. Spread over 38 years his experience in Public Service includes field, staff, Management and Leadership positions both at federal and provincial level. He also had the privilege of representing Pakistan abroad.

Prior to joining FPSC he was serving as Executive Director World Bank Group where he led HR Committee as Chairman for two years.

He also worked as Federal Secretary Communication, Chairman NHA, Secretary Excise & Taxation, Director General NAVTEC, Deputy Commissioner, Director to the President and Head of Economic Sector Los Angeles, USA. He joined as Member FPSC on 18th January 2021.
