Mubasher Lucman, the senior anchor person and the host of the famous TV program Khara Sach, after 9 years of hard struggle in various courts, has managed to get justice as the Islamabad High Court annulled the defamation case against him on Friday.
The court has also issued the final decision.
The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court accepted the plea of senior anchor person Mubasher Lucman and annulled the decision of the Sessions Court and canceled the sentence given by the Sessions Court of two years.
It should be noted that on December 16, 2021, the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad sentenced Mubashir Luqman to two years in prison and a fine of five lakh rupees for organizing a program against the parents of Muslim League (PMLN) leader Daniyal Aziz.
It may be mentioned here that the claimant had filed a petition that Mubasher Lucman had made personal remarks against him during the program in 2016, according to the plaintiff’s case, he had received threats due to Mubashir Luqman’s allegations.
It was stated in the judgment that Mubasher Lucman filed an application for suspension of the decision, as the provisions are bailable.
The verdict against Mubasher Lucman was suspended for seven days initially, and he was given right to file an appeal in the Islamabad High Court within seven days.
In the written decision, it was also said that the sentence awarded to Mubasher Lucman was suspended for seven days in exchange for a fine of Rs 500,000.
Now, Islamabad High Court (IHC) on the request of Mubasher Lucman, has completely canceled the decision of the Sessions Court.
